Moon Gazing by Jannet

I am returning for my second guest spot a little later than expected. I have been very unwell, and
I want to thank Calico Crafts for being so kind and understanding. For my final project I have had fun creating this happy fox who enjoys nothing more than gazing at the moon!

I began by painting the square with dark blue acrylic paint, and dotting on a few stars with a white pen, and going over the top with a clear sparkly pen.

I painted my circle with white acrylic paint, followed by some white pigment powder mixed with a little water. The pigment powder gave the moon some shine. To add the impression of moon craters I dabbed some grey paint onto a piece of sponge and dabbed it over my dry moon.

After mixing a little fine marble dust with acrylic paints I painted my happy fox. We have a lot of foxes where I  live so I looked at my photos for reference on his colouring. He wanted a bushy tail, so I twisted and shaped some needle felting wool to make him a tail to be proud of.

Flowersoft gave the tree a nice autumnal feel. I also painted the hare, pumpkin, acorns and leaves.

I spent some time arranging all the pieces onto the square. When I was happy with an arrangement, I applied Deco Art texture paste onto the bottom of the square and added art stones, twigs, and the painted pieces. When dry I painted over the texture paste with acrylic paints, in various shades of green, orange and brown.

Thank you for visiting today, and thank you so much for having me at Calico Crafts as a guest designer.

Wishing you health, happiness and crafty fun always
Jannet xx

The products I used to create Moon Gazing are :-
