Pirates World

 Hello creative friends!

And here's another pirate project, but this is definitely the last one! 😅
This beautifully engraved pirate should take centre stage, and I have left it in its original state. The result is a Shadowframe in an underwater setting, complete with a treasure chest. This is also very elaborately engraved, and has been highlighted with silver wax to make the details more visible.

Pirates Book Bottle

Yo Ho, a pirate's life for me ... Drink up me hearties, yo ho

Yo HO Ho and a bottle of Rum

I'm sure many of you will recognise this song from Pirates of the Caribbean.

To conclude our summer pirate adventure, today I present to you a book bottle.

An empty bottle was wrapped in a cardboard sleeve.

My aim was to create a vivid 3D effect and I also wanted to make it look as old as possible.

By the way, you can also design it so that it works as gift wrapping.

Hello Friend - Picture frame

 Hello!

Today an upcycling project, it was an old wooden frame, now it's an eyecatcher

where you can add an special photo or an wise saying.

I decorated it with a nautilus from a fantasy Steampunk land and

supplemented the nautilus with a kelp, split in the centre,

this is how wonderful tentacles were created.

Chain was made with the help of a mould,

on the body I added two cogs, a capnut and a thin metal ornament.

The return of Black Pearl

  Hello again!

I saw a green glow on the horizon.
That means a soul from the realm of the dead is returning to the world.

Here it is: the Black Pearl, as promised in my last post.
I enjoyed upcycling an old book again.

I combined the MDF shapes with paper cutouts, used moulds (pirate head)

and modelled octopus arms.

Secrets of the Sea

 Hello!

The ship was pulled underwater by the octopus.

Sharks circle and guard this grave.

Experts think it could be the Flying Dutchman, a ghost ship

that was doomed to wander the oceans.

I created a shadow frame in mixed media style, for this I had to completely destroy

this new pirate ship, omg. It's broken into pieces on the ocean floor,

but someone will fix it up soon. 😉

He is a pirate

Ahoy, landlubbers 😀

The black pearl has taken off again, and the pirate adventures continue, at least for now.

I made a new shadowbox in grunge style with a touch of steampunk from a kit for a paper lantern.

I used self-produced rust to make everything look as old and cool as possible.

Even in the dark, it catches the eye; in the green glow, it appears on the horizon, having returned from the underworld to the world of the living.

Summer Home Decor

Hello creative friends!

Today a new summer inspired home decoration, for your own home or

to give a friend a little treat – whatever you need!

This is a really simple project that you can knock up in no time at all and

it makes a lovely summer wall decoration.

I used a simple metal ring from a Euroshop and gave it a bit of a makeover.

All you need is three shapes, which I made in an old vintage style.

They were colored with diluted acrylic paints and

I used crackle lacquer and other textures, like the sprinkling of decosand.

Album Summer Memories

Hello everyone!

After a short summer break I'm back with a photoalbum

as memory on beautiful relaxed days.

The sea inspired minialbum  has been equipped with many flaps, pockets

and other storage possibilities to keep nice mementos.

Some of the selected MDFs have already been laser engraved in such detail

that they look very beautiful in original.

Nautical Multi Frame - Lighthouse

on the cover was primed with white gesso and only the lighthouse
and wheel were embossed with a special powder (Salted Navy Enamel)

Striped Beach Hut with Flag

were created with a crackle medium and
