Hello!
Today I want to share another twist on an ATB cube... a 'pretend' pull along toy!
It's a simple task to get the string attached, you just need to remember to do it before you put the cube together! Drill a hole, then feed through the string...
Then tie a knot on the back so it won't come out..
Then glue the cube together!
I like to cover the cubes with old book pages, then white gesso to give a nice base before colouring...
For this ATB, I used a simple colour scheme of red, bue and white. A little bit of black stamping finished off the look...
I created 'wheels' from the mini circle sheet, covered with embossed card and finished with a red star..
The bird is a primitive shape, created from air dry clay. I painted it, then added a blue crown! He sits on a nest of green paper strips...
I added another red star to neaten up the string hole..
I have loads more ATB ideas to explore, watch this space!

ReplyDeleteOh my gracious Trish - you just never run out of ideas girl. This is sooooo ADORABLE. Heheheheh - I am smiling so big. Love the colors and all the designs but most of all - I love that it's a faux pull toy - eheheheheh!!! And of course, I wouldn't want to see it ruined and I am not a cat person but... somehow I can just see a little kitty pulling this around in circles too!!!! What a treat to see your WONDERFUL toy!!! Xj.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous I love the colour combination, one of my favourites . Love the bird on top and the pages you adhered to the block. Tracy x
