At the beach - with Elly

♥ Hello my crafty friends and Calico Craft Parts Lovers ♥
*
Elly here and yes, today you're with me *at* the beach, because i'm sending sunny greetings from Lanzarote/Spain to you, together with my second Guest Design post. My creations accidentally go together with my holiday *wink, wink*

Beach Display for Summer Feeling and a Treasure Box for Beach Souvenirs

I glued patterned paper to Fancy Shaped Blank Plywood Plaque

Used the hotglue gun to adhere the Glass Vials. The brown vials imitate groynes and the clear one is a drift bottle

DecoArt Texture Sand for beach sand

Don't forget to decorate the back

Simple and cuuuuute, don't you think?

The Treasure Box consists of a plein Trinket Box Kit, only the sea shell pillar frame of a Shaped ATC  Wood Blank and mini seagulls

First, i've connected the lid to the box with a piece of  KraftPaperFabric on the left side. Next i've glued down the frame and the seagulls. 3 round pieces glued together forming a button to open the box. I adhered 4 metal feets and i've painted the box with a mix of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics Titan Buff with a tiny drop Prussian Blue Hue

I applied DecoArt Americana Decor Crackle Medium to the middle of the lid, some spots on the frame and on the sides of the box. When touch dry, i painted Media Fluid Acrylics Titan Buff on top and the cracks appeared. The birds a drybrushed with Media Fluid Acrylics Metallic Gold

The dirty look in the middle of the lid and around the box was achieved by rubbing DecoArt Media Antiquing Cream Raw Umber into the cracks and i used chalk ink around the edges of the box.

Thanks for stopping by and joining me, my crafty friends. I hope you feel inspired to enter a real Treasure Trove of Wood Shapes and Craft Blanks at Calico Craft Parts Shop to create something wonderful
