Design Team Call...
Hello everyone, it's Louise (Zuzu) the design team coordinator here.
Would you like to be part of the Calico Craft Parts design team?
We are having a design team call this month and would love to hear from you.
So here is what you need to know and what you need to do.
This DT call is open to the UK and Europe only at this time. Closing date 23rd April
1 You will need to have an active blog. By active we mean posting regularly. It would be 'preferred' (but not imperative) that you use at least one other social media or sharing site like instagram, facebook, pinterest etc (most of the team's communication happens in the team's facebook group but emails could be sent instead)
2 You must live in UK, Ireland, Europe (this is due to postage times and costs for DT supplies).
3 You will need to be able to upload good clear photos of your projects.
What would be my commitment to Calico Craft Parts?
1 We would ask for 2 new projects a month to be uploaded to the shop's DT blog and scheduled for your given dates (2 weeks apart). You keep your projects as we only need the images uploaded and a little bit of written content to go along with them. We would like a sneak peek and link to that post to feature on your own blog that same day.
these projects can be of anything you like and use what ever supplies you like as long as they clearly feature Calico Craft Parts and do not use laser cuts made by anyone else. Full details on how, when and where to post will be sent to the successful applicant.
2 You would commit to a minimum of 6 months if you are chosen to join us. After 6 months this can be reviewed and the commitment ended by the designer or by Calico Crafts. Equally, the commitment can be renewed on mutual agreement.
3 We would like you to promote and help spread the word about Calico Craft Parts whenever you can, when appropriate.
What would be calico Craft Parts' commitment to me?
1 You will receive a code that entitles you to £15 (approximately 18.70 Euros), to spend on craft parts, on the 15th of each month.
2 On top of the £15, you will also have free postage.
3 You will be part of a friendly supportive team and have the backup from the design team coordinator (me ;) )
So now the important bit.
How do I apply?
1 We would like you to make a post on your blog featuring 3 projects (new or old) that you feel expresses you as a crafter. We want it to show your style, your abilities and your creativity etc. At this point we wont worry about seeing Craft Parts on there if you don't yet have any.
2 Send a link to that post (not the whole blog JUST that post) to me in an email with the subject heading "CCP DT Call" by midnight (UK time) Saturday the 23rd April. (that's 3 weeks today).

What happens next?
The owner (Helen), the design team and myself (design team coordinator) will go through a voting system so that we all have input. The person who gets the most points will be asked to join the team.
Don't be too disappointed if its not you this time around. We only have one space and we know there are loads of fantastic designers out there. We hope that some of our runners up will accept a guest designer appearance for one month. So you would still get to choose some free craft parts to design with.
